Cultivating college students with contemporary craftsmanship spirit is necessary to comprehensively achieve the school's talent cultivation goals. As the main battlefield for cultivating talents with professional and technical skills, vocational colleges should integrate the spirit of craftsmanship into their ideological and political education. On the basis of elaborating on the connotation and extension of craftsmanship spirit, this article analyzes the necessity of integrating craftsmanship spirit into ideological and political education of vocational college students, and proposes several ways to achieve comprehensive understanding and practice of craftsmanship spirit by vocational college teachers, promote personalized integration of craftsmanship spirit with ideological and political education of vocational college students, and construct a campus culture that integrates craftsmanship spirit with ideological and political education of vocational college students, effectively integrating the spirit of craftsmanship into the process of ideological and political education for vocational college students.
